Compared with mechanical water meters, electronic water meters have developed rapidly in the current intelligent water meters. It has changed the problem of difficult calibration of error curves in mechanical water meters and solved the problem of wear and tear in long-term applications. Representative products mainly include ultrasonic water meters, electromagnetic water meters, etc. Currently, multiple domestic water meter production enterprises have successfully developed and produced this type of product, gradually increasing the market share of domestic water meters, and some have been exported in bulk to foreign countries.
1. Ultrasonic water meter
The time difference caused by speed changes in the ultrasonic water meter is a new type of water meter that analyzes, processes, and calculates the effluent flow rate by detecting the propagation of the ultrasonic beam in the upstream and downstream of the water. The main characteristics of ultrasonic water meters are: there are no moving parts in the measuring tube, and the pressure loss is small; Wide measurement range and good small flow detection ability; Almost unaffected by water quality, etc.

2. Electromagnetic water meter
The electromagnetic water meter utilizes the Faraday electromagnetic induction principle to determine the flow rate of the measured medium by measuring the strength of the induced electromotive force generated by cutting the magnetic induction line generated by a constant magnetic field when water flows through a measuring tube, and then obtaining the flow rate value. The specific style of the electromagnetic water meter is shown in Figure 1. The main characteristics of electromagnetic water meters are: the sensor structure is simple, there are no moving parts in the measuring tube, and the pressure loss is small; No mechanical wear, unaffected by the temperature, viscosity, density, and water quality of the tested medium, with a wide range of measurement ranges; No mechanical inertia, fast response, and good dynamic characteristics.
Electromagnetic water meter
The electronic water meter comes with its own electrical signal output, overcoming the problem of measuring data output conversion. Compared to mechanical water meters, it has inherent advantages in intelligence and can more conveniently complete functions such as data remote transmission and prepayment. However, electronic water meters are currently expensive and have limitations in being easily affected by environmental conditions such as vibration and electromagnetic environment.
